A&M

Founded by Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss in 1962 to distribute records by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, A&M would go on to become the world's largest independent record company after 16 of its first 25 releases reached RIAA Gold status. 

A&M was merged with Octone Records in 2007, and absorbed by Interscope Records in 2013.
