Have you heard about this one? It turns 50 years old this week. In honor of that, it has received a nice half-speed remastering to make these tracks sparkle like the countless bags of glitter this album lead to the purchase of. Beyond the bags of glitter, there are more musical threads indebted to this album than can be fully listed here. To name a few, every ambitious utopian/dystopian concept album, every androgynous megastar, every three-chord punk band, every group described as “Left-field” regardless of genre, owe at least a bit of their lineage to this album.
