From 2 to 3 is coming out at just the right time. While AB has certainly dealt with harsher winters, that 6-week cold snap is still fresh in everyones mind, and the sweet respite of summer, creeping ever closer, can still feel as far away as the sun rays upon which it arrives. Vancouver indie-darlings Peach Pit are almost (sun)bursting with Vitamin D, which spills over into their third album, with its shimmering guitars and dreamlike approach to a YVR love letter. Their summer dreams occur in an idealized Granville, sweating Pepsi in one hand, lover's hand int he other. It's a low stakes, fun album that's both a development of their previous album, and a stayed-course. If you were already a fan, there'll be much here for you to enjoy. If you weren't, this is where you should start.
