The best Japanese series since Cowboy Bebop returns for another outing of good vibes, sunshine and more cheesy synthesizer noises than can fit in the toy synthesizer you got for Christmas when you were a kid. This lovingly crafted set offers a mix of hits and rarities from the formerly-maligned and now beloved genre of city pop that was ubiquitous in Japan in the late 70s and early 80s and fused jazz, funk, soft-rock and disco to make for its own uncanny but totally unique sound. As the snow begins to melt and the days get longer, there is no better album to soundtrack your next cookout or round of patio drinks than this album. Except the other two volumes in the series of course.
