Muddy Water's Montreux collection encompasses a decade of shows, bringing his Mississippi-by-way-of-Chicago electric musings to the Swiss institution, for one of the rawest blues sets ever committed to wax — a set which helped further popularize the electric blues across the water, and stake Water's as one of the premier vocalist/guitarist of his period. The first three releases from BMG's epic collaboration with MMV (Montreux Media Ventures) focused on some of the most powerful vocal performers of all time, so for the fourth release they decided again to focus on one of the most powerful vocal performers of all time.
