If you’re not familiar with Yo La Tengo’s 1997 classic I Can Hear the Heart Beating As One, the organ-driven single “Autumn Sweater'' is the track you would have most likely previously heard on a spotify playlist or played through the speakers of your local record store. While “Autumn Sweater” is probably the album’s most famous track, it’s also the best description of the vibe here. The mood stays on cozy throughout this album's shifts in genre from electronic to bossa nova to indie rock to trip-hop to folk and everywhere between. This is the musical equivalent of that comfy warm sweater you keep in the back of your closet for a fall day when the air starts to cool and the leaves begin to change.
